After holding Clear Lake Baptist to a single run in their first at-bat, Goodfellas got things started with a big 8 run inning in the bottom half. Goodfellas held a 10-1 lead going into the 3rd, but CLB scored 7 to cut the lead to 2. Goodfellas answered with 5 of their own and then held on as the home team, only giving up 4 in the final inning for a 15-12 win.

FOTS followed suit with a 15-5 shellacking of that same CLB team setting up the grand finale for the evening - a showdown with Goodfellas.

Once again, Goodfellas came out swinging and put another 8 spot on the board in their first at-bat. FOTS mustered up 3 runs in their half of the inning, which Goodfellas matched in the top of the second. Then FOTS bats seems like they were about to come back to life as they scored 5 in the bottom of the second to make it 11-8 in favor of the Goodfellas. Then.....the scoring stopped. For three straight innings, nobody put up any runs. In the top of the sixth, Goodfellas added a couple more, but FOTS couldn't answer. Goodfellas win 13-8.

Goodfellas started their night against Baybrook Baptist and got off to a rough start scoring 0 runs in the first inning and then seeing BB put up 5 in the bottom half. Goodfellas got on the board in the second with 3 runs of their own and then held BB to a goose egg to keep it close. In the third, Goodfellas broke out the big sticks and scored 7 runs while only giving back one in the bottom half. After a 4-0 fourth inning, and then putting up another 3 in the top of the fifth, Goodfellas led 17-6 going into BB's final at-bat. Keeping it short and sweet to spare the drama, BB scored 11 runs in their final at-bat to tie the game, Goodfellas 2nd tie game of the season.

Next up was the formidable League City Church of Christ #1 team. Goodfellas stepped on the gas early, scoring 11 in the first and 6 in the second to lead 17-5 after two innings. Unfortunately they didn't score any the rest of the way, but they also held LCCC1 to only 5 more runs and got the victory 17-10.

FOTS played one game last night and it was not very pretty. Neither team could score many runs and FOTS came out on the losing end to Baybrook Baptist 5-2. Just as they started the second game, the skies opened up and put an end to softball for the night. The rained out game will likely be made up at the end of the season.

Goodfellas had a BYE this week.

Goodfellas and FOTS went head-to-head for the first time this summer season, and for the first time in quite a while, it wasn't a really close game. FOTS was playing without several of their big hitters and Goodfellas were able to take advantage in a 17-7 victory.

Next up Goodfellas took on League City Church of Christ #2. Goodfellas were able to maintain their torrid run scoring pace as they run-ruled LCCC2 after three innings by a score of 22-3.

In the final game of the night, FOTS was able to pull off a run rule over LCCC2 as well.

FOTS had two big games Monday night against League City Church of Christ #1 who figure to be one of their biggest threats for taking the league championship this season. FOTS took care of business, beating LCCC1 11-6 in the first game and then exploding for a 20-10 victory in the second game.

Goodfellas stayed hot in their first game against Clear Lake and won 17-9. Game 2 was a different story against Baybrook Baptist. BB founs their swings and were assisted by some fielding errors on the Goodfellas part. In all it was a recipe for a 22-13 loss for the Goodfellas.
